BG Developments was formed in 1974 by Bob Green and specialise in competition and high performance braking systems and clutches. They can cater for almost all vehicles.
From Bob's roots with Girling in the 1960's, they have gained encyclopaedic knowledge of all Girling parts which makes matching up those hard-to-find brake parts an achievable task. Whatever your braking requirements, they can manufacture the parts to suit the purpose if you supply us with a technical drawing. We can also adapt kits and substitute components for higher specification items if required.
Replacing Dunlop Calipers on Historic Cars
We now offer the ideal solution to the problem of replacing or updating Dunlop brake calipers on cars of the 50's and 60's fitted with Dunlop disc brakes as original equipment.
The existing items can now be replaced using a caliper developed by BG Developments, which is based on the Girling 17/3 type. This was the natural successor to the Dunlop item in many applications. It is a well-developed caliper that has been in production for several years, and is used and supplied by many of the leading Jaguar specialists.
An alternative solution is to replace the existing Dunlop wheel cylinders with new versions specially developed by BG Developments.
Among the leading historic models for which these replacement items are suitable are the Jaguar E-type, Jaguar Mk II series, etc, etc.
